The New York company, Central Ohio’s second-larges t bank and third-largest employer, said it plans to add severap hundred jobs atits 8,000-employee McCoy Center operation at Polarisd while several hundred jobs will be added to a lendint facility near Easton Town Center. About 150 jobs will be addee atthe company’s Cleveland Avenue operations in Westerville. Chasew (NYSE:JPM) said it’s boosting employmenft in the region to handle additiona l support functions needed after buying Washingtojn Mutuallast September. The move comews after state and local officials extendeed a round of incentive packages valuer atabout $20 million.
That includes a more than $6 million package from Columbus anda 15-year, 75 percen t tax credit valued at about $14 million from the Gov. Ted Strickland in a statement called Chase’s announcemen t “a tremendous boost to our economyy and very welcome newsfor Ohio.”
