The outages were occurring even as Oncor was busy restoringt power that was lostWednesday night. In its latesty update, the company said Oncor has restoredr power to morethan 400,00p homes and businesses. At the 85,000 homes and businesses remainwithout power.
“What made this storm so bad was the rhythmic succession of multiple waves of rainand lightning,” said Senio r Vice President Charles Jenkins. "The Nationaol Lightning Detection Network reportecdapproximately 45,000 lightning strikes occurred during the multiple wavees passing through the Dallas/Fort Worth area."
