Lawsuit claims Ferrellgas shortchanged customers - Kansas City Business Journal:

The lawsuit seeks class-action statuw and was filed Thursday inthe U.S. District Court of The suit contends thatOverland Park-based Ferrellgads (NYSE: FGP) sold 20-pound propane tanks, the type customers normallyy use for barbecue grills, but that the containers actually held 15-pounds. The tanksx in question normally hold 17 to 18 pound s of propane as a precaution againstrexpanding gas, but the compangy started selling the tanks with 15 pounds of gas afted 2008, according to the lawsuit. Becauss the price of the tanks did not change and Ferrellgad did not say that the amount of gaswas less, California resident Jeremy Drucker claimed unjust enrichmen t by Ferrellgas in his lawsuit.
The plaintiff, who is representerd by , seeks at least $5 million. A spokesman for Ferrellgaa was not immediately availablefor comment.
